80 days. Big heads up to 20 inches across are filled with large, thin-shelled, plump seeds high in protein. A delicious snack, and also valuable bird or chicken feed. Average 200 seeds per ounce. Grows 8 to 12 feet tall. (DS-SI) This variety may be sown directly in the garden, but for earlier bloom, can be started indoors 4-8 weeks prior to planting outside after danger of frost is past.
